FROM PASTOR CAL and JUNE…

Warmest Christian Greetings!

We pray you are doing well despite all of the necessary adjustments we all need to take these days. In our life-time there has not been a pandemic of this magnitude! It is good to be wise in our daily activities, ensuring that we are observing sensible hygienic practices. That, coupled with the Lord’s help, ensure we are doing our part to promote healthy environments.

As you already know, it was determined that all church activities will be cancelled until further notice. This is the new reality and wisely practiced by other churches and organizations in our community, across the country and internationally. We pray the timeframe for this will be short and it will be safe to meet for church services very soon. In the meantime we cooperatively comply with government and health agencies as it pertains to best practices during these serious times.

For those of you who may come by the church for one reason or another, there are important signs on the doors and stations available to sanitize your hands. Thank you for being diligent as we work hard to follow healthy protocol. Please use the back door entrance. Thank you.

Worship Online

What do we do since all activities at the church facility are cancelled? Great question! It is our intention to make worship time available to you online including a message from God’s word. This Sunday we will be speaking on “The Anchor”. You may view this at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, March 22. The necessary information with the link will be shared in a subsequent note. We hope you can join us for this “virtual” experience. It is our intention to do this each Sunday until the building is open again.

PRAYER MEETINGS

Since all activity at the church facility is no longer an option, we are encouraging you to take extra time in prayer. Every 2nd Tuesday @ 6:30 p.m. we host an All Church Prayer Gathering. On the opposite weeks, on Thursdays @ 7:30 a.m., we host a Men’s Prayer Gathering. May we encourage you to set aside these time schedules and spend it in prayer? Thank you for standing (or kneeling!! J) with us for these 2 hours. Thank God for the privilege of prayer! We encourage you to continue in personal prayer in addition to these time slots.

BIBLE READING

Please continue your daily Bible reading throughout this month of March. Next week there will be another suggested daily reading for April. The word of God is inspired and powerful. Listen to Psalm 119:130 “The entrance of your words gives light…” The Message puts it this way “Break open your words, let the light shine out, let ordinary people see the meaning.”

Tithes and Offerings

The practical/administration side of ministry needs daily attention! Thank you for assisting us with this as we remain good stewards of keeping current in paying the bills!

Here some options for you:

1.      You may come to Evangel on Tuesday or Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Shawna will be happy to assist you when you drop off your envelope.

2.      If you wish to use the Interac machine in the church foyer, that will be available as well. You may also do this during office hours. Again, Shawna will be there to assist you if necessary.

3.      You may give to Evangel Temple through e-transfers. Simply do this through your own personal online banking account. Add Evangel Temple as a recipient and use this email address: office@evangelnapanee.com Your donation(s) will automatically be deposited into Evangel’s bank account. Our office will keep proper records to ensure that your giving is accurate for receipting purposes.

a.      IMPORTANT: If you wish to designate any of your giving/donations to Missions, Building Fund or otherwise please specify that and the amount you designate for this in the “Message” portion of your transaction. For example, if you donated $100.00 in total and $25.00 was for Missions and $25.00 for Building, Your “Message” would look like this:

General Fund                          $50.00

Missions                                  $25.00

Building/Equipment                $25.00

This is just a simple illustration that will ensure your donation is properly tabulated.

Always feel free to call us if you need any assistance at all. Your faithfulness and commitment is deeply appreciated. Thank you for being so diligent in this.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

Our AGM was scheduled for Sunday, March 22 @ 1:30 p.m. Of course this is now on hold until further notice. We will keep you posted as to an alternative date.
