Dear Wonderful Friends,

THANKSGIVING IN JULY

Greetings to you in the Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!

It is with grateful hearts that we announce the re-launching of Evangel Temple on SUNDAY, JULY 5, 2020 @ 10:00 A.M. The following is a check list in consideration of whether you should attend or not attend. The 2nd list is protocol if you can join us on Sunday morning.

1.       PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IF...

a.       You have an underlying medical condition that may make you susceptible to your health being affected.

b.      You have a fever.

c.       You are not feeling well.

d.      You have travelled outside Canada and have not self-quarantined for 14 days.

e.      You do not feel comfortable attending just yet. It is completely understandable if you decide to wait a little while before attending church again. We respect your choice as you navigate these challenging times.

f.        You cannot wear a mask.

YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND IF...

a.       You are feeling well.

b.      You have not travelled outside Canada in the last 14 days.

c.       You can wear a mask. It is mandatory in our health unit area - Kingston Frontenac Lennox & Addington - that masks be worn in all public places. I was in conversation with the local health unit and was informed that this requirement may be for a short time period. At the moment all who attend any public gathering must wear a mask - including the pastor/priest/clergy.

2.       Following are protocols that will help you as you arrive at church on Sunday:

a.       As you enter the church building at the west side entrance there will be volunteers who will ask you some short questions, register your name, and hold the door for you to enter.

b.      Once inside you can sanitize your hands, put on your mask (if you do not bring a personal one there will be one provided) and then be seated in the sanctuary. Volunteers will assist you to find your seat, observing proper physical distancing. Please note that you may not necessarily be seated where you normally sit since there has to be an organized approach to seating arrangements. Thank you for understanding the importance of this.

c.       Music/singing has been pre-recorded. The order of service will not vary much from a regular Sunday morning.  The service will not exceed 1 hour.

d.      Following the service the congregation will be dismissed and leave the building as directed at the end of the service.

e.      Please do not stop in the foyer but, rather, go directly outside. You may visit in the open air if you so desire - again observing proper distancing.

f.        2 offering boxes are placed in the foyer for your convenience. Offering plates will not be circulated.

g.       The debit machine is available and a volunteer will disinfect it following each use.

h.      Washrooms may be used but only one person at a time unless it is a child accompanied by a parent/guardian. Minimal use is suggested. Also, only the washrooms on the main floor level will be available.

i.         Communion is usually served on the first Sunday of the month but, for now, we will postpone that until masks are not demanded.

It is regretful that other ministries, especially for the children - Kids' Sunday School and nursery - has to be curtailed for now. We pray that all of this will be over sooner than later. We do indeed pray that this virus will disappear in Jesus' Name!

I am hoping that the above lists are comprehensive...I think they are!!! Wow! Who would have ever thought we would ever need lists like this to attend a worship service!!

We so appreciate your patience and understanding! These are not easy days to navigate and we have worked very hard to cover all the bases. Remember  that we pray for you every day!

WE SO LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON SUNDAY!!!
