Beginning a relationship with Jesus is as simple as ABC:
A – Accept
Recognize that you are a sinner and turn away from sin. (Romans 3:23)
B – Believe
Believe that Jesus is the Son of God who died for your sins. (John 3:16)
C – Confess
Confess Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. (Romans 10:9)

The video, Romans Road, is based on verses from the Book of Romans, found in the New Testament section of the Bible, sandwiched between the Book of Acts and 1 Corintians.
The Roman Road is a simple series of verses that explain:
a. Why we need salvation, how does God provide salvation.
b. How we receive salvation.
c. What are the results of salvation
It all starts at Romans 3:23, "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". We are all sinners. God intended that each of us live in perfect relationship with Him, but everyone one has broken God's commands.
As we move through the Book of Romans, we arrive at chapter 6 verse 3, which says, "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord". Since we are all sinners, the consequences of our sin is eternal (having an infinte duration) death, which means we are eternally seperated from God. The good news is God has provided a path for hope, Jesus.
Further down the road in Romans, we arrive at chapter 5, verse 8. The sign says, "God proves his own love for us in that, while we were still sinners, Christ dies for us." What does this mean? Very simple, God loves you and I so much, that even though we have all sinned, God gave is only Son to die for our sins. Hard to understand? It is, but remember in ancient times, animals in perfect condition, no blemishes, were used in sacrifices to cleanse the sins of the people. The good news is that God offered up his son Jesus freely for us, we owe Him nothing, in fact, there is no possible way for anyone to pay back this debt.
Our second last stop is Romans 10:9-10. Here we are greeted with these words,"If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation." We have all seen advertisements that prompt us to, "call in for this limited time offer", or say, "for only a small monthly fee of..." Paul, the author of The Book of Romans, makes it very clear and simple, no gimicks, you do not have to work it off, or buy anything, all you need to do is, confess and believe. Sounds too easy? What is the catch? There is always a catch. No, the bible is very clear, confess and believe. Why? Because if you believe in your heart; meaning you are completely onboard and convinced that Jesus died and came back to life again to remove eternal death from you, then you have just taken the first steps toward following Jesus; to understand His teachings and way of life. Righteousness is just a big word to say, you are aligning your life to the life of Jesus.
Our final stop, is Romans 10:13. The sign here reads, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Regardless of where you come from, the life you have had, the mistakes you have made, your current religious beliefs, God's offer of salvation is for everyone. That is the good news, the hope we have in believing in and following Jesus.
