Hello Dear Friends,

Warmest Christian greetings!

The word of God will never, never pass away! Here’s what the Bible says in Psalm 119:89 “Forever, O Lord, your word is settled in heaven.” Further, Matthew 24:25 says “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” How comforting to know that God honours His word!   We “…have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father…” (Colossians 1:9-12)   Last week we included this: Let’s “…pray for each other, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16) A number of our congregation and other friends are experiencing illness these days. Let’s pray that each one will receive divine healing and deliverance. May your faith increase and be strengthened.

SUNDAY SERVICE & COMMUNION @ 10:00 A.M.We are thankful when you can join us for the morning service. We will have a full day of praise, worship, missions report and celebrate communion together at least once per month. We are so happy for those who join us on YouTube each week. Let’s pray that the Lord’s presence and blessings will be evident amongst us whether we are physically at church or tuning in at home. We encourage you to join us at the church each Sunday when you feel comfortable doing so. Of course, if at any time you do not feel well, it is wise to stay at home and take good care of yourself. We certainly miss you, though!!

ONLINE CHURCH These days we are investigating the best equipment we need as we our YouTube presentations.  Good quality is essential and we want to make good decisions. A couple of high definition cameras will enhance our audio/visual presentation. We will keep you posted as the journey continues. Thank you for sharing the link with others who may wish to join us for each live-streamed service. Please pray that this ministry will be a good source of encouragement to everyone who tunes in. PASTORAL SEARCH – On Saturday, October 31, the Committee conducted interviews with possible candidates for the Lead Pastor ministry position. It is anticipated that an announcement will be forthcoming very soon. We will certainly keep you informed as we journey together.

PRAYER MEETING You are invited to join us at the church each Monday @ 6:30 p.m. for a time of prayer. These are very encouraging meetings as we gather at the church to pray together. There are so many needs and our world is in such turmoil! Times of prayer bring such a sense of the Lord’s presence and encouragement. We sure hope you can join us for an hour or so. Let’s pray for the USA as they go to the voting booths this week.

BIBLE READING – We are announcing a new challenge for Bible reading for the months of November and December – Jeremiah and Lamentations (of Jeremiah)! This is deep reading but so good to be engaged in the Scriptures. Take the time daily to spend in God’s word. It will strengthen you immensely and bring much comfort as you meditate on the Scriptures. It is good for us to remember this verse: “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…” (Colossians 3:16)

ADMINISTRATIONThe Local Church Constitution will soon be available to be adopted as our updated version. It is anticipated that a business meeting will be held soon to receive it. Please watch for the announcement.   The arrival of the new shed is a bit behind schedule. It is expected that it will be positioned on site at the end of November. The gravel foundation will be installed next week – we are making progress! You may still donate to the cost of the shed – greatly appreciate all you do!

MISSIONS – On October 25 our ZOOM guests was Janette Tirado who is ministering in Peru. It was great to learn more about her ministry there and we are thankful that we can partner with her and others. On Sunday, November 1 Rev. Steve Hertzog, Regional Director for Eurasia, joined us. It was exciting and informative, especially hearing about the revival amongst the wonderful Roma population in various countries.   It is a pleasure to announce that 3 more people have been added to our Missions Committee – Dele Atteh, Kevin Mutch and Deborah Mcleod! We so appreciate their willingness to serve. Thank you!   The bike-a-thon proceeds will be a tremendous blessing to the Carrasco’s as they reach out to the numerous communities around them. There are 312 communities in their region with more than 240 communities which do not have an evangelical church. Much prayer and personnel are needed. When we reach our goal of $25K a 9-passenger vehicle will be purchased. What this will do to make travel to communities and spreading the good news of the gospel will be incredible! Thank you so much for your kind consideration and doing your very best! Should you wish to contribute to this project, simply write “Bike-A-Thon” on your offering envelope and place it in the box provided. We value your prayers and partnership.

CHRISTMAS SHOE BOXESThank you for participating in the “Christmas Shoe Box” ministry again this year. Boxes are still available. Please get one today or, if you have already done so, you may drop them back at the church before November 15, 2020.   THANK YOU!!! – A special thank you from Stephen and Ashley Wilson for your generosity for their recent “Drive-By Shower” in our parking lot. They are very grateful for your kindness in the well wishes and gifts you gave. It is wonderful to know we blessed this young couple. We wish them the very best as they begin marriage together!

PRAYER FOR OUR NATION AND WORLDWIDE –   PERSECUTED CHURCH Over 260 million Christians around the world are persecuted for their faith in Jesus and are silenced through physical attacks, acts of humiliation and harassment, limited employment opportunities, and more. Please join us as we pray for the top 50 nations where persecution of Christians exists. Pray for strength, perseverance, faith and peace for those impacted, and for spiritual breakthrough in those regions where the gospel is suppressed. Together we can speak up #forthesilenced. For resources and more information visit forthesilenced.paoc.org. UNITED STATES Pray for the people across the United States during and after next week’s Presidential election. Pray that, whatever the outcome, people will not be divided against one another and that God’s peace will reign throughout the country. Pray also that the next few weeks will be an incredible time of reconciliation and understanding among families, friends, neighbours and others who have been separated on the issues. Pray also for opportunities for the gospel to spread and that people will find encouragement and hope in Christ.

EVANGEL’S MISSIONARIES/GLOBAL WORKERS GWs) Your prayers for our GWs is critical. Thank you for taking the time to include them in your daily prayer times. We remember Travis & Jesse (RAN), Dan & Belinda Collado (ABA, Canada), Jarren & Cindie Hildebrandt (Thailand), Kingston Pregnancy Care Centre (Elizabeth Sacrey), Scott & Melissa Williams (Spain), Janette Tirado (Peru), Laura Benson (Uganda), Deborah Sirjoosingh (Kenya), Cal & June Anthony (Eurasia) and Raul & Lily Carrasco (Spain). Everyone needs prayer and everyone deeply appreciates it!   We continue to pray the same prayers for you this week as described above and in these Scriptures: “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7) and “The God of peace be with you all.” (Romans 15:33).

Stay close to God!
